The first one on our list is by Dr. Ronald Nash (a huge influence in how I teach philosophy) - his book, Life's Ultimate Questions. The book is divided into two sections. The second section deals with some major issues, like theodicy. The first section, though, I find the most interesting. This is Nash's teachings on Plato, Aristotle, Plotinus, Augustine, and Aquinas. It has been crucial to my own understanding of these key thinkers (in particular Plato).
